Dried Sprats for Dogs

Dried sprats are one of The Pets Larder's own-label products — and one of the ones we're most straightforward about recommending. The ingredient list is one line: 100% sprats. The sourcing is EU-certified, from cold Baltic waters where the fish are naturally small, oily, and rich in the omega fatty acids that make them genuinely useful rather than just a treat.

We stock a lot of fish treats. Sprats earn their place because they do more than one job. They're a high-value training reward, an effective daily coat and skin supplement, a meal topper for dogs who've gone off their food, and a long-term addition to the diet for dogs who need more omega in their daily intake. Most treats do one of those things. These do all four.

Air-drying rather than baking preserves more of the natural oil content — which is where the omega 3 and 6 sit. Baking at high heat degrades those fatty acids. The drying process takes longer and costs more to run, but it's the reason these work as a supplement rather than just a snack.
